These Terms explain the rules for using the GetTempCover website and temporary insurance journey. By using the website, submitting details, requesting a quote or continuing to payment, you agree to follow these Terms.

What GetTempCover provides

GetTempCover provides an online journey for UK temporary car insurance and related services such as quote forms, payment flow, document support and NCB request journeys. We may display quote information, collect customer details and help arrange documents after successful payment and acceptance.

A quote is not a guarantee that cover will be offered. Cover only applies when the relevant insurer or provider accepts the risk, payment is completed and valid policy documents are issued.

Your responsibilities

You must ensure that all information you provide is accurate, complete and not misleading. This includes driver details, address, licence information, claims, convictions, vehicle details, cover dates, intended use and email address.

• You must have permission to use the vehicle.
• You must hold the correct licence for the vehicle.
• You must check the vehicle is taxed, MOT’d where required and roadworthy.
• You must only drive once cover is active and documents are correct.
• You must not use the website for fraud, false information or unlawful activity.

Quotes, eligibility and pricing

Quote availability and pricing can depend on the driver, vehicle, address, cover dates, licence status, claims, convictions, intended use, fraud checks and underwriting rules.

Prices may change before purchase. A displayed price is not final until payment is completed and the policy is accepted. We may refuse, cancel or restrict access where information appears incorrect, suspicious or outside eligibility rules.

Payments and checkout

Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. You must only use a payment method you are authorised to use. If a payment fails, is reversed, disputed or flagged for review, documents may be delayed, cancelled or withheld depending on the circumstances.

Card details are normally entered directly into the payment provider’s secure checkout and are not stored by GetTempCover.

Documents and start time

After successful payment and acceptance, documents are generated digitally and sent to the email address supplied. You must check the documents before driving, including the driver name, vehicle registration, cover start time, cover end time, permitted use and any exclusions.

You must not drive if the documents are missing, incorrect, not yet active or do not match your intended use.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation rights, refund availability and administration fees depend on the insurer, product, policy wording, cover start time and whether any claim or incident has occurred. Short-term policies may have limited cancellation refunds once cover has started.

Check your policy documents carefully and contact support if you need to request cancellation.

Claims and incidents

If you are involved in an accident or incident, follow the claims instructions in your policy documents. You may need to stop safely, exchange details, report the incident and provide evidence. Failure to follow policy conditions can affect a claim.

Website availability and liability

We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. We may update, suspend or withdraw parts of the website where needed.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer law gives you additional rights.
